Located in western Uganda, Kibale spans 795 square kilometers of lush rainforest, swamps, rivers, and open grasslands. This park is home to the largest concentration of chimpanzees in Uganda—estimated at over 1,450 individuals—and 13 other primate species, making it a premier destination for primate lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Observing these intelligent primates as they climb trees, forage for food, and interact socially is a breathtaking experience that offers insights into their complex behaviors and the importance of conservation efforts.
Beyond chimpanzees, Kibale is home to a variety of other primates, including red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys, as well as diverse bird species such as the African pitta and great blue turaco. After trekking, you will visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed conservation area renowned for its rich birdlife and cultural experiences. Here, you can walk through swamp trails, spot rare birds and butterflies, and engage with local communities to learn about their traditions such as coffee making, banana beer brewing, and basket weaving.
This safari offers an ideal blend of thrilling wildlife encounters, cultural immersion, and scenic tranquility.
