In the very beginning, Orika Africa listened to what we wanted to do, how much time we had and what our budget was. They developed a tailored safari that exceeded all of our expectations. The wildlife was simply amazing to see from the 4WD, and at one national park we were able to walk with giraffes. Our tour also included an encounter with gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable NP and Chimps at Kibale. Orika Africa helped us plan a once-in-a-lifetime safari adventure that suited our family's desire to see incredible animals in their natural habitat, on dates that were most convenient for us, and with the level of comfort we wanted. We chose Uganda over other countries in Africa because we could also see gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable NP and chimpanzees at Kibale. We still saw the Big 5 and other animals from the safety of the 4WD, and we also did a walking safari with a ranger in Lake Mburo NP. Orika Africa is a boutique destination management company and tour operator in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, creating tailor-made safaris across East Africa.
We are locally owned and run, with more than ten years of experience building journeys across the region. Our relationships with lodges, communities, guides and conservation partners come from years of working in these places, not from a catalogue or a third-party network.
We keep the operation close to us. Our vehicles are our own, and our guides are part of our team. We know the people handling your journey, the roads between destinations, the parks and their different sectors, and the lodges we recommend. From your first conversation to your final transfer, we stay involved.
Every safari starts with you. We build each itinerary around your interests, your pace and the time you have, rather than fitting you into a fixed package. You tell us what you want from the journey, and we take care of the details that bring it together.
