Your journey begins in Jinja, known as East Africa’s adventure capital. Here, you’ll enjoy activities like white-water rafting, bungee jumping, quad biking, and a relaxing boat cruise along the Nile. As you transition from adrenaline to authenticity, you’ll head northward through the lush countryside, passing scenic landscapes and interacting with local communities along the way.
The highlight of your trip is the exploration of the Karamoja region, home to the proud and resilient Karamojong people. Experience their traditional way of life through immersive cultural exchanges—participate in dance ceremonies, learn about their pastoralist lifestyle, and spend time in traditional homesteads. You’ll also visit the Ik people, one of Uganda’s smallest and most isolated ethnic groups, residing near the cliffs of Mount Morungole.

You’ll also explore the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife of Kidepo Valley National Park—one of Africa’s most pristine and less-explored national parks. On arrival, our tourist guide/driver will meet and greet you and then transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Later, taken on an optional short tour around Kampala city starting with Uganda Museum, Buganda Palace and Ndere Cultural Centre.

After your early morning breakfast, you will check out and transfer to Mukono district for a full day cultural, community experience as you engage in an educative local experience. Later, drive to Jinja arriving late evening check-in, dinner.

After your breakfast at leisure, you will head out for the half day white water rafting that will take you through a series of rapids and then after return to your hotel for a short relaxation before driving out for a private sundowner boat cruise to the source of river Nile, this is where the Nile River begins its journey to the Mediterranean Sea.

Today you will have breakfast, then transfer to Sipi Falls and it’s here you will explore a series of three spectacular waterfalls in the foothills of Mount Elgon combined with the community tours through coffee tours and learning about the culture of the native Sabiny. You will take on a guided evening sunset walk to one of the thrilling and magnificent high points in Sipi to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

After your early breakfast, you will head to Pian Upe game reserve for a morning game drive and nature walks withing the reserve and we shall have panoramic views of the vast plains of the park with variety of bird species and wildlife such as Elands, dik diks, Ostriches and many more rare species of mammals as well as birds. Later proceed to Moroto for the overnight stay.

Today after breakfast at leisure, you will head out for this thrilling cycling tour around the Karamojong community through abandoned colonial roads and the cattle paths of the nomadic warriors and as you learn about the pastoral culture in their community and interact with the indigenous communities. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for the bush camping with the herders as you experience the real Karamojong pastoral life as you immerse yourself fully into their activities.

After your breakfast, you will say goodbye to the Karamojong herdsmen and head north to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of the most remote and spectacular parks in Uganda. You will enjoy an evening game drive in the park, spotting various animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and many more.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day game drive in the park, visiting the Kidepo River Valley and Narus Valley. You will also have a cultural experience with the IK people, a pastoralist tribe that has maintained its traditional way of life.

After breakfast, we will depart Kidepo Valley National Park and drive back to Kampala via Gulu. We shall have en-route lunch and proceed to Kampala in the late afternoon. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
