How far in advance should I book an East Africa safari?

We recommend booking at least 6 to 9 months in advance, especially for gorilla trekking safaris. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest gorilla permits sell out months ahead for peak season (June to September and December to February). For other safari types, 3 to 6 months is usually sufficient.

How does Orika Africa customise a safari itinerary?

We start with a conversation about your interests, travel dates, budget and group size. From there our team designs a day-by-day itinerary, selects lodges, secures permits and assigns a dedicated guide. Every safari is built from scratch for each client.

What happens after I enquire with Orika Africa?

Our team responds within 24 hours with an initial outline itinerary and cost estimate. Once you approve the direction, we refine the plan, confirm lodge and permit availability, and send a full proposal. A deposit secures your booking and we handle everything from there.
