On arrival at Entebbe International Airport you are met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Relax and unwind after your journey while enjoying the peaceful lakeside atmosphere of Uganda's gateway city.
Day 2Lake Victoria
Shoebill Tracking and a Lake Victoria Sunset
After breakfast you set out on a memorable birding excursion to the Mabamba wetlands, gliding through narrow channels in a traditional canoe as expert local guides help you find the prehistoric-looking shoebill stork among a wealth of other waterbirds. Later you return to Entebbe for a relaxing sunset cruise on Lake Victoria, with spectacular views and refreshing drinks as the African sun sets over the lake.
Day 3Jinja
Cultural Journey to Jinja and Island Escape
After a leisurely breakfast you depart for Jinja, Uganda's adventure capital and the source of the mighty River Nile, pausing en route at Ewaffe Cultural Village for an immersive experience of traditional customs, storytelling, music, dance and local cuisine. You then continue to Jinja and transfer by boat to your exclusive island lodge on the Nile, a tranquil retreat of comfort, privacy and natural beauty.
Day 4Jinja
Adventure on the Mighty River Nile
A day devoted to one of Africa's most iconic rivers. Thrill-seekers can take on an optional white-water rafting adventure through some of the world's most exciting rapids, while gentler alternatives such as kayaking, fishing, horse riding or a spa treatment can be arranged. In the evening a scenic cruise carries you towards the source of the Nile as the golden light reflects off the water.
Day 5Entebbe
Charter Flight to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast you bid farewell to the Nile and transfer to the airstrip for your private charter flight to Entebbe, with spectacular aerial views of Uganda's lakes, forests and rolling countryside, arriving in time for your onward flight.
