Day 2Akagera
Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast you journey east through Rwanda's picturesque countryside to Akagera National Park, checking in at your lodge and enjoying lunch before your first game drive. Explore the vast savannah in search of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope and predators, then return to your lodge as the sun sets over the plains.
Day 3Akagera
Full-Day Safari Experience
Wake to the sights and sounds of the bush and set out on an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active, tracking the park's iconic species across its diverse habitats. In the afternoon a boat safari on Lake Ihema drifts past pods of hippo, Nile crocodile and a variety of water birds, and after dark you venture back into the park on an exciting night drive in search of elusive nocturnal wildlife.
Day 4Akagera
Farewell to Akagera and Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast while taking in the final views of the African wilderness. After check-out you begin your scenic journey back to Kigali, arriving in time for your onward international flight with unforgettable memories of incredible wildlife encounters and stunning landscapes.
