The Journey

Day 1Kigali

Arrival in Kigali, Welcome to Rwanda

On arrival at Kigali International Airport you are warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, relax and enjoy the comfort of your accommodation while preparing for your rainforest adventure.
Day 2Nyungwe

Scenic Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast you depart Kigali and journey through Rwanda's spectacular countryside towards Nyungwe Forest, pausing at the historic King's Palace Museum in Nyanza for a fascinating insight into the country's royal history, traditions and cultural heritage. You continue through the beautiful landscapes of the Land of a Thousand Hills, arriving at Nyungwe in time to settle into your lodge and enjoy the tranquil rainforest surroundings.
Day 3Nyungwe

Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Rise early and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the ancient rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee troops, following forest trails as you listen for their calls and witness these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Afterwards you continue to the famous Nyungwe canopy walk, suspended high above the forest floor with spectacular views across the rainforest, before returning to the lodge to reflect on an unforgettable day.
Day 4Kigali

Return to Kigali and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest before beginning your return journey to Kigali, arriving in time for your onward international flight and closing an unforgettable Rwanda primate adventure.
